House Rules at Hjemstavnsgården Campsite / Glamsbjerg Camping

Welcome to Glamsbjerg Camping!

We are a small, peaceful and cosy campsite on West Funen (Vestfyn), where we want everyone – families with children, couples and seasonal campers alike – to be able to relax and enjoy their stay.

These rules are in place to ensure a good atmosphere, safety and cleanliness for all our guests. Most of them are simply about showing consideration for others – thank you for helping to keep the campsite nice!

Peace and Good Atmosphere We are a quiet campsite where everyone should be able to sleep well and enjoy nature. Quiet hours are from 23:00 to 07:00. Music, conversations and other sounds should be kept at a level that does not disturb your neighbours. Driving on the site must be at walking pace and only when necessary – this creates more peace and is safer for children and animals.

Tidiness and Cleanliness – Everyone’s Shared Responsibility Keep your own pitch tidy and neat. It’s pleasant for you and for those living next to you. Clean up after yourself both on your own pitch and in the common areas. Mow the grass around your caravan if it needs it (we are happy to lend out a lawnmower). The shared facilities such as showers, toilets and the kitchen should be left clean and tidy – a quick wipe after use makes a big difference for the next guest.

Thank you for helping to keep the campsite inviting!

Waste and Recycling We sort our waste for the sake of the environment. Please use the designated containers for residual waste, glass, paper, plastic, etc. Large waste (e.g. old tents, furniture or building materials) must be taken home with you. Do not leave waste on the site or in nature – it spoils the experience for everyone.

Dogs and Other Pets Dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a lead and do not disturb other guests. Always clean up after your dog (faeces) – both on the site and in the surrounding area. Dogs must not be left alone in the caravan if it may disturb the neighbours (e.g. by barking). Other pets must be kept under supervision so that everyone feels safe.

Children and the Playground Our playground is for the enjoyment of all children. To keep it safe and pleasant: Parents or adults must supervise the children on the playground and in the common areas. Children may not play unsupervised. Ball games and other play must be done with consideration for neighbours and other guests.

We hope you have many great play experiences together!

Smoking Smoking is allowed on your own pitch, but please show consideration for your neighbours – avoid letting smoke drift into other people’s awnings or windows. Smoking is not permitted inside the shared buildings, shower/toilet facilities or close to buildings. Please use ashtrays and do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or in nature.

Electric Cars and Charging We are working on installing chargers for electric cars so we can better support the green transition. Until then, we do not have any charging stations on site. Charging an electric car via a regular socket or a “grandma charger” on your pitch is not allowed for safety reasons and because our electrical installation is not designed for it. If you need to charge, there are public chargers nearby – we are happy to point you to the closest ones. Feel free to contact us with questions or suggestions regarding charging facilities – we welcome input from our guests.

Pitch Allocation and Consideration When Fully Booked Since we do not have fixed pitches but an open and flexible layout, it is important that everyone shows consideration so there is room for all. Position your caravan, car, awning and equipment in a way that still leaves good space for your neighbours and easy access to and from the pitch. When we are fully booked, it may be necessary to move closer together or adjust placements – we greatly appreciate your help in making room for new guests. We reserve the right to move you to another pitch during your stay if it becomes necessary for practical or maintenance reasons. You will be given at least 7 days’ notice and offered a comparable pitch.

Electricity, Gas and Safety Only use approved outdoor CEE cables for electricity on your pitch. For longer stays, we recommend that you present a valid gas certificate – this is for everyone’s safety. Maintain the required distances (minimum 3 metres between units) and ensure that roads and electricity points are always kept clear. Open fires (bonfires) are not allowed, but barbecuing is of course fine if done carefully.

Guests and Visitors Overnight guests must be reported to us (name and number of nights) and pay the normal daily rate. Day visitors are welcome but are asked to park outside the site and follow the same rules. You are responsible for your guests’ behaviour.

Other Rules The caravan must be mobile and may not be used as a permanent residence. Fireworks are not permitted. Please show consideration for the nature surrounding the campsite – we look after it together.

If Something Is Wrong Please feel free to contact us if you experience anything that is not in order or if you have any questions. We are here to help so that everyone can have a good holiday or a pleasant stay.

Thank you for helping to make Hjemstavnsgården a nice and safe place for everyone! We hope you have a wonderful time with us.
